United Airlines to fly Boom's Supersonic Overture Airliners by 2029
When I first started this site I was going to ad daily content. Well, that lasted less than a month as I didn't have the time to do that and I just focused on travel reviews. It was also around the time the B787 Dreamliner was introduced. Much like the day I first heard about the B787 today I read that United will buy 15 of Boom's Supersonic Airliners with an option for 35 more with hopes for passenger travel by 2029. Now, that seems a long way off, but I remember when the B7

SWISS A320 & A321 Business Class Review
I have flown on several SWISS International Air Lines flights in Business Class the past few months (This review is from November 2018. Most of what I wrote then is still true other than the A220 makes up a good portion of their short-haul fleet now and they no longer operate the A319). I flew on the A321 from Zurich (ZRH) to Rome (FCO) and on the A320 from AMS to ZRH and a few flights between Moscow (DME) and Zurich. Along with their newly acquired C series by Bombardier (A2

Aeromexico B737-800, B737 MAX & B787 Domestic Business Class (Clase Premier) Review
I originally wrote this review of February of this year from a trip we took in November of 2020. Since that review my wife and I have taken three addition trips to Cancun and one to Puerto Vallarta. Every time returning in Clase Premier (Business Class) to Tijuana (no test required for land entry). In April (2021) we flew on two B737 MAX 8's and yesterday (May 2021) again a B737-800 and a B787-8 (this time Dreamliner from MEX to TIJ) and two additional trips on the B737-800 a

Air Tahiti Nui B787 Business Class Review LAX to Papeete, Tahiti
My wife and I recently (Feb/March 2020) had the good fortune to visit French Polynesia. Much to my delight (and part of the reason we went) I was able to get two reward seats in Business Class (Air Tahiti Nui calls it Poerava Business) through American Airlines (this was before the Coronavirus hit). While my wife loved that it was a relatively short flight from Southern California (7 hours 50 minutes) I would rather redeem 20,000 fewer miles (70k vs 80k) and get more bang for

Austrian Airlines B767 Business Class Review VIE to Washington IAD
I was very proud of myself for booking a one-way award ticket through United from Moscow to LAX on Austrian Airlines. I had an extra night to spend at the end of my trip and was trying to figure out where in Europe I could reasonably fly from Moscow and also find an award seat to So. California. I was having a hard time finding a suitable pair when I realized I could get an award ticket on both segments flying Austrian Airlines (IAD – LAX on United) and just take an afternoon

Crowne Plaza Hotel Brugge Review
This review was from a few years ago. The rooms have been updated since then otherwise most of what is stated below is accurate. I believe the hotel was/is closed do to the Covid-19 Pandemic. However, I see they are taking reservations for this Saturday (May, 15, 2021). The Crowne Plaza Brugge is located on Burg Square at Burg 10, Brugge. It is a stones throw to the larger Market Square where the Belfry of Brugge is located (both Squares are beautiful). Arriving by car is ver

Best Western Hostellerie Du Vallon Review Trouville-sur-Mer
The Best Western Hostellerie Du Vallon is located at 12 Rue Sylvestre Lasserre in Trouville, France in the heart of Normandy. It is short walk to the boardwalk area where there are many shops and restaurants and a 15 minute walk to the center of Deauville (the cities are side by side with harbors in each city). It is not however, easy to find. Luckily on our way there we figured out the GPS and found the hotel after our second go round thru Trouville. The hotel is a typical B

Flying during the Covid-19 pandemic and what service to expect.
I have wanted to write about this subject since late last summer when I started to travel again. I didn't because I was hoping that the pandemic wouldn't last this long (now that I have written this it is sure to end ;)) and once things returned "to normal" the review would be obsolete. Unfortunately, my old site was compromised and I have been wanting to update it anyway, so this will be a quick first review until I can hopefully retrieve all my old reviews. I will mostly fo
